DISCORSO DEL PARTNER SLOVENO
Very respected Ladies and Gentelmen;
I am speaking on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior of Republic of Slovenia and it is my pleasure to present the compliments of Mr. Bojan Trnovšek, M.A., General Director of Internal Administrative Affairs Directorate and of Mr. Robert Sušanj, Head of Traffic Police Sector.
In the ICARUS Project we have to treat the most important psycho-social characteristics related to high risk driving behaviour in novice drivers. Moreover our task is to construct a training package focused on the modification of these characteristics aimed to the reduction of car accidents in young drivers.
Internal Administrative Affairs Directorate and Traffic Police Sector of the Ministry of the Interior of Republic of Slovenia participate in ICARUS because this project is important for improving Traffic Safety. For this purpose we accepted the Partnership Declaration in this project of Juveniles Campaigns on Traffic Safety. We will cooperate in dissemination some questionnaires into public schools and collection their results, in organizing a workshop in Ljubljana (together with the Traffic Police Sector) and in common campaigns, common operations and in possible exchange of police officers.
We are going to contribute to the project with international cooperation, statistical data regarding traffic safety, participating in organisation of Seminars, became active part of studies and of informative network and manage the ICARUS Project with the applicant organisation. Our provision is also to organize a middle term Conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
